Philippines TV to adopt Japan’s ISDBT system

Malacañan announced on Tuesday that all TV operations in the country will be following Japan’s Integrated Services Digital Broadcasting Terrestrial system or ISDBT. Presidential Communications Secretary Sonny Coloma explained that ISDBT’s built-in emergency alert channel will enable the government to easily relay emergency warnings to the public.

Conventional TV sets can be madedigital-readyby attaching them to a set-up box that costs about P1,000.

The National Telecommunications Commission is expected to come up with implementing rules and regulations for the migration to digital television before the year ends. Secretary Coloma said: “Adoption of this system is aligned with the government’s objective of zero casualties in times of calamities, as with the Japanese experience when the system quickly flashed the tsunami alert following the devastating March 2011 Tohoku earthquake.VCAN produce many ISDB-T for the Philippines to meet Japanese TV standard, including One tuner one antennaISDB-T5005two tuners two antennae isdb-t4800, 2 調諧器 2 antennae isdb-t6800four tuner four antenna ISDB-T7800free one seg ISDB-T5005, ISDB-T5009 and prepaid full seg b-cas ISDB-T4800, ISDB-T5800, ISDB-T6800, and ISDB-T7800, except TV receiver box, and also 7-inch table stand monitor TV ISDB-T7030 and 9-inch portable monitor TV ISDB-T9030, also including car GPS navigation with ISDB-T receiver, for more products, 請 contact can.
